LUNCHEON ABOARD CARNIVAL SUNRISE

On Sunday, September 22, 2019, 62 PONY Branch members and guests visited Carnival Cruise Lines’ 101,509 GT, 2,984-passenger CARNIVAL SUNRISE (ex-CARNIVAL TRIUMPH), newly-refurbished as the line’s second Sunshine-class ship. After some exploring, those attending enjoyed a three course lunch with wine in the Sunshine Restaurant along with members of the Propeller Club, cadets from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and students from the State University of New York Maritime College who were also visiting for the day. After lunch there was time to further explore the ship before she set sail from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on a 7-night voyage to New England and Canada.
