Sail4th 250 – America welcomes the tall ships of the world to the Port of New York and New Jersey for a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, July 3-8, 2026.
- July 3: Parade of Sail – Class B Tall Ships, 1:00 – 3:00 pm
- July 4: International Naval Review, 7:30 – 9:00 am
- July 4: Parade of Tall Ships, 9:30 am – 2:00 pm
- July 4: International Aerial Review, Morning
- July 4: Macy’s Fireworks, 9:25 pm
- July 5-8: Free public viewing of tall ships
- July 8: “Five Sisters Cup” tall ship race to Boston between four of five sister ships that remain in service: USCG’s barque Eagle (U.S.), Sagres (Portugal), Mircea (Romania), and Gorch Fock (Germany), which has held the Tiffany-made trophy since 1976. 9:00 am
South Street Seaport Museum: On March 12, 2025, the “Maritime City” exhibit opened in the newly renovated A. A. Thompson building at 213 Water Street; The gallery space at 12 Fulton Street features two exhibits: South Street and the Rise of New York, and Millions: Migrants and Millionaires aboard the Great Liners, 1900–1914; 1885 Tall Ship WAVERTREE and 1908 Lightship AMBROSE open to the public (free). Museum hours: Wed – Sun, 11 am – 5 pm.
